New England Charge staff

Derek played youth baseball in Hudson, graduated from Alvirne High School, and played collegiate baseball at Ripon College (WI) and Keene State College (NH).  While at Ripon, Derek played for (at the time) the winningest coach in collegiate baseball history, Gordie Gillespie.  After graduating from college, Derek became the head coach of the Hudson American Legion Post 48 senior legion team, guiding the team to a state semifinal appearance in 2009.  Derek also became the first varsity head coach in Windham High School (NH) history, as the team doubled their win total each of their first few years of competition until losing to Portsmouth in the state semifinals in 2012.

Derek currently works at Pinkerton Academy as Dean of Studies and Instruction.  In addition to coaching his three sons' youth baseball teams, Derek also coaches the Pinkerton Academy Special Olympics basketball team. 

Winter workouts are coordinated and ran by Adam Perkins.  Adam comes to the Charge with an impressive baseball resume and is currently the Varsity Baseball Coach at Alvirine High School in Hudson, NH.
